Kaper and Plusnet’s ‘Yorkshire Emoji’ campaign announced as a SABRE Award winner!

Hot off the press – we have been announced as the winner of the Digital and Print Media SABRE Award for our Yorkshire Day emoji campaign with Plusnet!


The campaign, launched to coincide with Yorkshire Day in August last year, saw us create five Yorkshire-inspired emoji. While Yorkshire Day has been celebrated since 1975, we felt it was time to bring this occasion to life in true 21st century style with everyone’s favourite modern form of communication – the emoji.



The people of Yorkshire were invited to vote for their favourite Yorkshire-themed emoji for a chance to determine the latest symbol to join the hallowed hall of emoji fame, and it achieved amazing results.


The campaign delivered 141 pieces of widespread coverage, in titles such as Daily Mirror, Metro and Daily Express, reaching over 498 million people in the UK.
